3000 HP Ford Mustang Goes Airborne

3,000 Horsepower Drag Mustang Goes Airborne

You know that the things went wrong when you can see just the sky through the windshield.

The drag racer Dennis Bailey in 2011 had a crash when his 3000 HP twin-turbocharged Ford Mustang went airborne before coming down on a concrete barrier. The crash happened in Adel, Georgia at the South Georgia Motorsports Park during a race.
The YouTube user Urban Hillbilly has released the video where the Mustang goes airborne. The car’s nose shoots straight up in the air and stays there just long enough for a photograph, and then fails into the barrier in a cloud of debris and dust. Luckily, Bailey made it out without injuries. This video is another reminder that the drag racing can be dangerous and unpredictable.
