Jay Leno drives the brutal Ringbrothers Recoil

By now, you’ve heard of the Ringbrothers’ Recoil.

Loosely—very loosely—based on a 1966 Chevy Chevelle, this showcar takes every notion you ever had about the big Chevy coupe and turns it on its ear.

It makes damn near 1,000 supercharged horsepower. It’s got carbon-fiber everywhere. The interior is less heavy Chevy and more WWII fighter plane.

It is a masterpiece.

And the level of detail here is astounding. Everything is custom, right down to the doorhandles.

So when James and Mike Ring brought the 5,000-hour build to Jay Leno’s Garage, it was Jay’s chance to get nerdy with every last detail that graces this warhammer.

Luckily for us, Jay’s camera crew takes us along for the ride.
